Realme has launched their latest edition, Realme X on 15th July 2019 in India.

To take the competition head-on with other mobile manufacturers, Realme has given some special features at an aggressive price range.

Special features of Realme X are - “Pop-up Camera with AI" and I"n-Display Fingerprint sensor

Rear Camera:


The Dual Rear Camera setup comes with an AI enabled Sony IMX 586 sensors along with the below mentioned features:

Main Camera: 48MP with an aperture of F1.7 (wide sensor)
Secondary Camera: 5MP with an aperture of F2.4 (depth sensor)

  • Intelligent pixel binning Flash,
  • Super Nightscape,
  • Chroma Boost, and
  • New portrait mode styles HDR.

Front Camera:


Let’s now talk about the special feature of Realme X, i.e. its Pop-up Camera setup for all the selfie lovers.

Selfie Camera of Realme X comes with an AI enabled 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with an aperture of F2.0, along with an Intelligent pixel binning, HDR and New portrait mode styles.

Front Camera also get the Sapphire glass protection along with the Drop protection mechanism.

Video Recording:


Realme X gets video recording features like, Electronic image stabilization (EIS) coupled with Camera delay and it can record videos in the below mentioned formats:

  • 4k video in 30fps
  • 1080p & 720p videos in 60fps & 30fps both
  • Slow motion video can be recorded in 1080p at 120fps
  • Slow motion video can also be recorded in 720p at 960fps & 240fps

Performance & Memory:


Realme X is powered by Snapdragon 710 AIE (10nm based) which is an Octa-core processor.

The processor is clocked at a speed of 2 x 2.2GHz Kyro 360 Gold and 6 x 1.7GHz Kyro 360 Silver chipset, combined with a GPU of Adreno 616.

Operating System:


Out of the box, Realme X comes with its own ColourOS realme visual experience, which is based on Android 9.0 (Pie).

It is also bundled with Hyper Boost 2.0 for hardcore gamers, which is powered by two elements (Frame Boost & Touch Boost) for immersive gaming experience without any freeze.

Display:


It has an FHD+ 6.53-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, that has 394 ppi with 91.2% of screen to body ratio.

For protection, it gets a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and contrast ratio exceeding 60,000:1 with maximum brightness of 430 nits.

Additionally, Realme X also gets Night mode for eye care.

Realme has launched two variants of Realme X in India.

The base variant comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity, and

The high-end variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity.

This phone is available in Polar White, and Space Blue colors; however, both the variants – 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage does not support external MicroSD card.


In a Nutshell:


Realme X comes with special features like Pop-up selfie camera with AI, In-display fingerprint sensor, beautiful 6.53” FHD+ AMOLED display, and VOOC Charger 3.0 with 20w for fast charging.

However, it lacks in external MicroSD card support, no option even as Hybrid card support, also does not have water resistant feature even in 2019.
