Xiaomi Mi A3 With Android One and Splash Proof Design


Xiaomi has launched their latest Android One smartphone, Xiaomi Mi A3 in India at an aggressive pricing in August 2019.

Rear Camera:


Let’s start with Xiaomi Mi A3’s special feature - the Triple Rear Camera setup, that comes with an AI enabled Sony IMX586 ½” sensors along with the below mentioned features:

Main Camera: 48MP with an aperture of F1.79 (6pcs lens)
Secondary Camera: 8MP with an aperture of F2.2 (ultra-wide-angle lens)
Third Camera: 2MP with an aperture of F2.4 (depth sensor)

  • 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel,
  • Supports PDAF,
  • AI Portrait mode, and
  • Steady handheld night photography

Front Camera:


Xiaomi has given 32MP of AI enabled selfie camera in Mi A3 for all the selfie lovers, which also supports Panorama selfie.

The Front Camera comes with AI Scene detection (detects up to 12 different scenes), Palm Shutter, and it can also record 1080P and 720P videos in 30fps.

Video Recording with Rear Camera:


Mi A3 gets video recording features like, Electronic image stabilization (EIS) with AI Scene detection (detects up to 27 different scenes) and it can also record videos in the below mentioned formats:

  • 4K video recording with EIS support at 30fps,
  • 1080P video recording at 60fps and 30fps,
  • 720P video recording at 30fps,
  • Slow motion video can be recorded in 1080P at 120fps, and

Xiaomi Mi A3 gets mid-range Snapdragon 665 (11nm based) which is an Octa-core processor.

The processor is clocked at a speed of 4 x 2.0GHz Kyro 260 Gold and 4 x 1.8GHz Kyro 260 Silver chipset, combined with a GPU of Adreno 610.

Operating System:


Out of the box, Mi A3 is Powered by Android One (Android 9.0 Pie) with Google Assistant and No Bloatware at all.

Since this smartphone is part of Android One family, it would get quick Android updates regularly at least for two years.

Display:


Mi A3 comes with Super AMOLED 6.08-inch HD+ Display with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels), that has 2.5D glass and rounded display corners.

Xiaomi has launched two variants of Mi A3 in India that comes with Dual Channel LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 flash storage (internal storage).

This phone is available in More than White, Not just Blue and Kind of Grey colors; also, both the variants support external MicroSD card up to 256GB.


In a Nutshell:


Xiaomi Mi A3 comes with special features like 48MP Triple Rear camera with 7th Generation In-display fingerprint sensor, and Quick Charge 3.0 that supports 18W fast charging.

However, the smartphone comes with 10W charger and 720P display which is a downgrade from last generation Android One smartphone from Xiaomi.
